3-A-DON is a trichothecene mycotoxin commonly found in cereals and other foods infected with molds, most commonly Fusarium.1 It is an acetylated derivative of deoxynivalenol (DON; Item No. 11428) that can be converted to DON in the body.2 The detection of this masked metabolite, as well as others, has been described.3
