Rabbit Anti-Human IgG, Fc fragment specific About

Polyclonal antisera from immunized hosts are lipid extracted to improve clarity, salt fractionated, dialyzed against phosphate buffered saline containing sodium azide and freeze-dried. Antisera against whole serums are obtained by immunizing host animals with whole serum. Antisera against whole IgG molecules [i.e. Anti-IgG (H+L)] are recommended for bridging PAP to primary antibodies.

Based on immunoelectrophoresis, the antibody reacts with the Fc portion of human IgG heavy chain but not with the Fab portion of human immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. The antibody may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.

Physical State: Freeze-dried solid
Storage: Store freeze-dried powder at 2-8C. When ready to use, rehydrate with indicated volume of d. water and centrifuge if not clear. Product is stable for about 6 weeks at 2-8C as an undiluted liquid. Prepare working dilution fresh each day. For extended storage after rehydration, aliquot and freeze undiluted product at -20C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Expiration date: one year from date of rehydration. However, the expiration date may be extended if the product is stored according to the recommendation and the test results are acceptable for its intended use.

Purity: The antibody was delipidated and ammonium sulfate fractionated from whole antiserum.
Buffer: 0.01M Sodium Phosphate, 0.25M NaCl, pH 7.6
Preservative: 0.05% Sodium Azide

Targeted Specificity for Reliable Results

This antibody is designed to specifically bind the Fc fragment of human IgG, minimizing cross-reactivity and background in immunological assays. Its high specificity makes it an excellent tool for researchers who require precise detection of human Fc regions in serum, plasma, or tissue samples.

High Purity and Safe Handling

With over 95% purity as validated by SDS-PAGE, this polyclonal antibody is supplied in a sterile, odorless solution. Sodium azide is added at 0.02% as a preservative to maintain stability during storage. Each batch is tested to ensure an endotoxin level of less than 1 EU/mg, supporting consistent research outcomes.

Versatile Applications and Convenient Usage

The antibody is suitable for ELISA, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and other immunological research techniques. Its recommended dilution can be adjusted according to experimental needs, enhancing flexibility across multiple protocols. Its ready-to-use liquid formulation streamlines your laboratory workflow.

FAQs of Rabbit Anti-Human IgG, Fc fragment specific:

Q: How should Rabbit Anti-Human IgG, Fc fragment specific antibody be stored?

A: For short-term storage, keep the antibody at 2-8C. For long-term preservation, store it at -20C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to maintain its functionality and shelf life.

Q: What applications is this antibody best suited for?

A: This polyclonal antibody is designed for immunology research and is highly effective in ELISA, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, where it detects human IgG Fc fragments with high specificity.

Q: When should I use the recommended dilution range?

A: The suggested dilution range of 1:1,000 to 1:10,000 serves as a guideline. Optimize the exact dilution based on your specific assay, sample type, and detection method to achieve optimal results.

Q: Where does this antibody exhibit reactivity?

A: This antibody exhibits strong reactivity with the Fc fragment of human IgG, ensuring reliable performance in experiments targeting human samples.

Q: What is the benefit of using an Fc fragment-specific antibody?

A: Using an antibody specific to the Fc fragment of human IgG ensures minimal cross-reactivity and more accurate detection, particularly in studies requiring precise localization or quantification of human IgG.

Q: How pure is this antibody, and how is its quality controlled?

A: This antibody exceeds 95% purity by SDS-PAGE analysis and is filtered sterile. Each batch undergoes endotoxin testing to ensure levels remain below 1 EU/mg for consistent quality.

Q: Can I use this antibody for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes?

A: No, this product is strictly intended for research use only and must not be used for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
