Reconstitution and Storage: Store freeze-dried powder at 2-8°C. When ready to use, rehydrate with 2.0 ml dH2O and centrifuge if
not clear. Product is stable for about 6 weeks at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid. Prepare working dilution fresh each day. For
extended storage after rehydration, aliquot and freeze undiluted product at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Expiration date: one year from date of rehydration. The expiration date may be extended if test results are acceptable for the
intended use.
Purity: The antibody was delipidated and ammonium sulfate fractionated from whole antiserum.
Antibody Specificity: Based on immunoelectrophoresis, the antibody reacts with whole molecule dog IgG. It also reacts with the
light chains of other dog immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. The antibody
may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.
Country of Origin: USA
Note: For in vitro research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This product is not a medical device.
Exceptional Affinity and PurityThis product undergoes affinity purification to ensure selective binding to dog IgG (H+L) with minimized cross-reactivity. Its purity exceeds 95% as verified by SDS-PAGE, ensuring high performance and specificity in immunological studies.
Versatile Application SpectrumRabbit Anti-Dog IgG (H+L) is commonly used in ELISA, Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry assays. Its broad reactivity to both heavy and light chains of dog IgG makes it highly suitable for various detection and analytical protocols in research environments.
Reliable and Safe FormulationSupplied as a colorless to pale yellow liquid in PBS at pH 7.2, this antibody contains 0.01% Thimerosal to maintain stability without risks associated with hazardous substances. It is odorless, filter sterilized, and non-poisonous, ensuring safety during laboratory handling.
FAQs of Rabbit Anti-Dog IgG (H+L):
Q: How should I store Rabbit Anti-Dog IgG (H+L) to maintain its stability?
A: For optimal stability and performance, Rabbit Anti-Dog IgG (H+L) should be stored at temperatures between -20C and -80C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve its integrity throughout its 12-month shelf life.
Q: What applications can Rabbit Anti-Dog IgG (H+L) be used for?
A: This antibody is suitable for a range of immunological applications, including ELISA, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence for the detection of dog IgG.
Q: When is it recommended to use an unconjugated antibody such as this one?
A: An unconjugated antibody is preferred for flexible downstream detection, allowing for choice in secondary detection systems or specialized assay requirements not restricted to a particular label or enzyme.
Q: Where does the broad reactivity of this antibody provide benefits in research?
A: The broad reactivity to both heavy and light chains of dog IgG ensures comprehensive detection across varied experimental protocols, supporting studies involving diverse samples or detection methods.
Q: What is the process behind the affinity purification of this antibody?
A: Affinity purification involves selectively isolating Rabbit Anti-Dog IgG (H+L) antibodies that specifically bind to dog IgG, enhancing specificity and reducing background in assays.
Q: How is the antibodys purity verified, and why is it important?
A: Purity is assessed via SDS-PAGE and confirmed to exceed 95%. High purity minimizes background noise and non-specific binding, improving experimental accuracy.
Q: What are the benefits of the antibodys filter sterilization and low endotoxin level?
A: Filter sterilization ensures the antibody solution is free of microbial contaminants, and low endotoxin levels (<2 EU/mg) make it suitable for sensitive biological assays without eliciting unwanted immune responses.
